Kiso’s lacquerware is not only use for the special occasions. We hope you to use them freely everyday. We hope you to use it without having to worry about, such as being damaged in lacquerware. I think that it may be appreciated dealing with such the same way as ordinary hand dishwashing If you wash. However lacquerware is breathing. We hope you have a little love to them when you use or wash.Lacquerware is a consumable. Please ask us for maintenance when you feel that your lacquerware seems to be little tired. Your lacquerware will come to life.We are creating a lacquerware while always imagine the smile of the consumer. We hope that the bowl we created give you some joy with your day-to-day life even a little. We are very happy If you use to everyone from children to the elderly.
We have founded in Kanei Nenkan(1789 to 1800) and have 200 years history through seven generations, and have contributed to the growth of the Kiso lacquerware while inheriting the generations traditional techniques with the works that has contemporary sense of taste.The first prize at The National Lacquerware Competition in 1909, The Grand Prix at Belgium World Exposition which was held to commemorate the 100th anniversary in 1930, The Ministry of International Trade and Industry, Light industry Director Award at Japan Lacquerware Exhibition in 1962, The Minister of International Trade and Industry Award at National lacquerware exhibition in 2000, we are honoured to have received numerous awards every year.Currently, we are creating from tableware to furniture utilizing our various original techniques as the Midare-Negoro-Nuri, Midare-Akebono-Nuri, Sumi-Shunkei-Nuri, Yoshinaka-Nuri and Tomoe-Nuri in our well known product "Hissei bowl, Hissei chopstick”.We would like to lore the lacqureware culture and the nature of Kiso to the next generation as a people who was born here while to cherish the traditionof predecessors who built. The unique softness that only lacquerware has, the touch of warm feeling may gives you
a little bit happiness to you day-to-day life. Our lacquerware is often considered fit only to the "Japanese style", but there is a very quaint also in accordance
with the "Western-style”. Please try to imagine the scene of lacquerware in your day-to-day life.
Our museum with parking space in front. The museum has a high ceiling and is the atmosphere of cozy and relax.Including our representative work “Akehizuru lacquerware(Ichiraku-Ami)”, lacquerware that can be used as daily tools are displayed.Please enjoy our history and the tradition of Kiso lacquerware.

with the Kiso lacquerware. Every stackable, embeddable lacqurewars are in good design, full of fun and all works can be used daily basis.
